Katrin Nora Kober (she/her) is a researcher and designer at the Center for Human-Computer Interaction at the University of Salzburg and part of the ‘All Kinds* of Makers*’ investigation team. Her focus is on sometimes-overlooked agencies and activities in the realm of technology-driven making. She explores how technology and artistic practice can expand the scope of (co-)creation and how unusual alliances can meaningfully shape this process.

Katrin graduated from Academy of Fine Arts and University of Applied Arts Vienna and has since been working, amongst others, at Institute of Contemporary Art at Technical University Graz (Assistant Professor), Institute of Studies in Art and Art Education at University of Applied Arts Vienna (lecturer) and Happylab Vienna (tutor). Her scientific diploma thesis revolves around the intentional misuse of things (Zweckentfremdungen) in terms of tactical and strategic resistance in production as well as consumption processes.
