Catherina Bauer is a student assistant in the Human-Computer Interaction Team since October 2022. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science at the Paris Lodron University of Salzburg, where she already focused on HCI in her Bachelor’s thesis titled “Embedded RFID Technology for Object Detection.”Right after finishing her Bachelor’s degree, she started the Master’s program in Human-Computer Interaction to dive deeper into the topics that interest her most. She’s especially passionate about prototyping and loves working on microcontroller projects, both as part of her work and in her free time.At the HCI center, she supports various research projects and is also the go-to person when it comes to using equipment like 3D printers, sewing and embroidery machines, plotters, and more. She enjoys helping others bring their ideas to life with the tools in the lab.
