Mascha has been a research fellow at the Center since September 2018. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design and a Master’s degree in IT Product Design. Her PhD research revolves around the body, more specifically she focuses on how to understand and feel the bodily experiences of others through (interactive) materials. By building on practices from fashion and textile design, she creates wearable artefacts that embody personal, intimate, felt experiences and that allow others to wear them on their own body. Mascha engages with various craft techniques, autoethnographic methods, feminist theories and exploratory design research to think more broadly about better inclusion and emphatic understanding for diverse bodily experiences.
