Susanne Meerwald-Stadler worked at the Center for Human-Computer Interaction from August 2011 to July 2017 as both a Junior Researcher and Research fellow, earning a Master’s Degree in Applied Computer Science from the University of Salzburg in 2015. Her diploma thesis investigated factors that determine the acceptance of robots with different appearance and how kinesthetic teaching with an anthropomorphically-designed robot is perceived by people with different backgrounds in the factory context.
Her main area of research aimed at making robot interaction more intuitive, but also included user experience and acceptance of autonomous driving approaches and how augmented and virtual reality approaches can be used to improve the usability and acceptance of human-robot interaction.
She is now self-employed and working within the field of Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality.
