Katja Neureiter is Senior Scientist at the Center for Human-Computer Interaction. She finished her PhD in Human-Computer Interaction at the University of Salzburg in 2016. Thereby, she investigated the interrelation between Social Presence and Social Capital and focused on the potential of (video-)mediated communication technologies to facilitate connectedness and the development of valuable and beneficial relationships among cooperating parties, in particular in the field of AAL (active and assisted living). In her research she aims at understanding the value of technology usage among older adults in various contexts. Katja is currently supporting the projects CARA2 and MMAssist II and is lecturer in the Joint Master programme Human-Computer Interaction.
