
Ruth Abigail Schulz (Abi) is a Student Assistant at the Human-Computer Interaction division. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, USA. During her studies, she led multiple weekend STEM camps for young girls from underrepresented communities, fostering their interest in science and technology. After graduating, she spent six years in the large vehicle manufacturing industry before shifting her focus to Human-Computer Interaction. She is now pursuing a Master’s degree through the Joint Master’s Program of the University of Salzburg and Salzburg University of Applied Sciences.
As part of her role, she will support the DiMo-NEXT project and is currently writing her thesis in collaboration with Paracelsus Medical University. Her research focuses on user-centered design approaches for an eHealth application designed to support individuals with Epidermolysis Bullosa during clinical trials.
