Magdalena Gärtner joined the Center for Human-Computer Interaction as a Research Fellow in November 2017. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Science and a Master’s Degree in Communication Science with an emphasis on Human Computer Interaction (HCI) from the University of Salzburg. In her research, she focuses on different user groups (e.g., drivers, children, elderlies) and their adoption of and interaction with new technologies (e.g., advanced driver assistance systems, persuasive technologies, autonomous vehicles) in different contexts (e.g., in the home, in vehicle, or en route). Furthermore, she is engaged in the application, evaluation, and enhancement of creative, user-centered research methods in different application contexts.
