The research interest of this group is to promote social interaction and health and well-being of selected user groups in the (extended) home by creating valuable and user-driven technical solutions in a user-centered design approach. We pay special attention to the user’s needs, experiences, and values in the development process from the beginning on. In different research project, we explore new forms of active user involvement in the development process to promote this. We also investigate how games and gamification can motivate users for an enhanced life experience and what ethical consequences these interventions have.
